I'm back to show you all another lovey dovey craft! I'm so excited to share this craft with you because believe it or not, my husband and I have wanted one of these in our house for a long time. I'm sure you all have seen the "I love you because..." signs on Pinterest so I decided to make my own version of this adorable sign. This craft is perfect for this time of year since Valentine's Day is coming up. Also, since I'm feeling lovey dovey I'm giving you all the printable I used for FREE!!! Here we go!
Frame- We have adorable frames at our store! Trust me, it will be hard to choose your favorite one! I used the 8x10 "Ali" frame.
Paint- I used Drizzle Gray and Light Ivory
Paint brushes
Sanding Block or Sandpaper
Krylon Matte Finish spray
Bakers Twine
Printable
Dry Erase Marker
First, I painted the frame with one coat of Drizzle Gray. Let it dry.
Next, paint over the Drizzle Gray with four coats of Light Ivory. Let the paint dry after each coat.
After the paint is dry, sand the frame. This will allow the Drizzle Gray to show through giving the frame a distressed look. Make sure to sand in random places on the frame.
In order to protect the paint it is best to spray the frame with an Acrylic Spray. I like the Matte finish spray.
Next I just used Bakers Twine as an embellishment. I rapped it around the frame three times and tied it in a cute bow.
Pretty easy huh? Next all you need to do is clean the glass and put the FREE printable in the frame. Now you are ready to write any lovey dovey note you want!
