Hey Crafters! Ali here. Valentines Day is only a few short weeks away, so
I wanted to share a fun DIY activity that is perfect for all ages: Chalkboard
Conversation Hearts!
The best part? It is SO easy and SO inexpensive! I have a small obsession with chalkboard paint,
so I found a recipe where you can make it at home in any color you choose!
Here’s what you need:
1 bottle (2oz) of Acrylic Paint- $1.29 at The
Wood Connection
½ Tablespoon Non-Sanded Grout (I found this at
home depot. Make sure it is un-sanded & you get the white color.)
Mixing Spoons & Paint Brushes
Mix one bottle of paint with ½ tablespoon of
grout and you are ready to go!
The hearts I used are sold at The Wood Connection
for only $.99!
Simply paint each heart front & back. Let it
dry completely.
Once it is dry (At least 20 minutes) you can
write any message with chalk!
We had such a fun afternoon making these! It took
less than an hour, and each heart turns out being less than $1.50. Hope you all
try it!
See you next month!
