What Our Crew Would Do- Marisa

Hey Crafters! This is Marisa from the Murray store. I've been pinspired from all the yarn letters I see to make my own. I love that they have a different texture than just scrapbook paper or glitter. Here are the supplies I used.

17" monogram letter from The Wood Connection for $5.95
Acrylic paint
Yarn
Scissors
Scotch tape
1 1/2 yards of red burlap ribbon from The Wood Connection
1 yard of green burlap ribbon
Hot glue gun

Start by lightly sanding the edges and painting the letter a similar color to your yarn.

After you paint is dry you'll start to wrap your letter. I found it easiest to cut the yarn into section to wrap around the letter. For me, glue didn't work that well in securing the yarn to the back of the letter so I just used a couple pieces of clear scotch tape to make it stay. I taped one end of the yarn on the back of the letter and just wrapped the yarn until the wood and tape weren't showing anymore.

Once the letter was all covered I followed this tutorial we have to make the rosette and just glued it on with hot glue. Now you have a super cute yarn letter perfect for your front door or mantle.

Thanks for reading and happy crafting!

Marisa
