What Our Crew Would Do- Michelle

Hey there Wood Connection fans! This is Michelle from the Murray store and I'm back for another What Our Crew Would Do post. You may remember my last project from Halloween. As Valentine's Day is nearing I have really been getting into the spirit of the holiday. I've been putting out all my Valentine's crafts, baking cookies and buying gifts for that special someone. To put the finishing touches on my Valentine's decor, I will show you how to make a monogram LOVE beadboard sign.

Supply List
L, O , V, E monogram letters- $5.95 each
41"x31" beadboard (You'll need to have this custom cut at the store)
Paint (I used Lisa Pink and Mendocino)
Gloss Acrylic Sealer
Foam Brushes
Wood Glue
Spray Paint (I used Rust-Oleum Heirloom White)

Start by spray painting your beadboard with 2 coats of paint. While that's drying, you can start to paint your letters. I painted the L, V, and E in Lisa Pink and the O Mendocino. After the letters are you want to seal them with an acrylic sealer to help protect the paint and make your project last longer. I chose a gloss finish for mine but we also carry a matte finish.

Using a measuring tape I figured out their exact placement. (Actually my dad did the measuring because he's much better at math than I am.) Once all your letters are placed where you want them, squirt the wood glue onto the back and smooth it out with a sponge brush. Then place them onto the beadboard and hold them down for a moment while they dry. And ta-da! You're finished!
