Hi,
it's Amy from The Happy Scraps! I'm so excited to be here at The Wood
Connection today, sharing this fun Flower Pot with Circle Flowers that they've
come up with! Some of my favorite things about The Wood Connection are: you
pick out what you want, and make it your own; it's a one stop shop with
everything you need to finish the project {unfinished wood, paint, paper, sand
paper, adhesive, ribbon, glitter, they have it all!}; and I can have cute wood
projects and I don't have to own a saw!
When I saw this Flower Pot with Circle Flowers {it's only $12.95, and it's BIG, (aprox: 12 w x 19 h)}, I thought it was made just for me! One thing about me is that I ♥ Polka Dots, so when I saw these circle flowers, that is what I thought of. I also love me some Echo Park Paper, and the new line of Dots & Stripes is just perfect for this project.

I started by painting all of my wood. I painted the bottom layers and middle
layers the same colors, and the top, bead board layer white. Then I added a
second coat of a different color to the middle layer, sanded the edges, to get
the distressed look with the other color peeking through. Next, I traced the
circles and cut my paper for the bottom layer, and measured and cut strips of
paper for the bead board layer. Then I used the wood glue {sold at The Wood
Connection} to adhere my paper to the wood. I also used the same glue to put my
flowers together.
For the flower pot, I covered it with this cute polka dot paper, and then I cut a vinyl "Spring has sprung" with my Cricut and stuck it on the corner.
One of my favorite things about the pot is the bead board trim for the top. I
had fun distressing it after I painted it white. Then I added some baker's
twine and ribbon to it.
I'm so excited to have this fun flower pot in my house to help bring Spring
inside! After winter, I'm ready for some bright and colorful things inside, and
out!
I hope you'll come and stop by The Happy Scraps, The
Wood Connection has given me a $25 Gift Certificate to giveaway to one lucky
winner! Come stop by and enter!
