At Home With Carrie

Hey there everyone. I have a super CUTE, super EASY project for you today. I have to say I really do LOVE it! There are so many different projects you can do with this fun technique. So get creative and you will love the results.

Here is the supply list:
Ball shape from our Kid Co. line
¾ inch modern letter
Wood glue
2 colors of our Delta acrylic paint
2 foam brushes
Spray paint
Spray adhesive
Poster board
Lace

Alrighty here we go. First you paint the ball shape. I chose our Delta paint Straw color. I painted two coats and let that dry for about 20 minutes. Next cut the lace an inch larger than the ball shape.

I grabbed the spray adhesive, poster board and lace and headed to the garage. I laid the poster board down and laid out the lace. I gave it a good coating with the adhesive. Wait about 5 min. carefully pick up the lace, not allowing it to fold in on itself. If it does however no worries just peel it apart. Be mindful of the sprayed side of the lace. If you get it on you, just imagine you’re spider woman and stick to the walls. it’s just that sticky! DO NOT TRY IT! Anyhow take the lace and lay the sticky side down on your painted ball. Press it firmly in place. Make sure it’s really stuck. You are using the lace as stencil so you really want it glued down. Get your spray paint (I chose white). Spray the whole ball. It should be given a good coat. Make sure to hold the can at least 12 inches from your project and give it an even coating. Otherwise it tends to run and who wants that? Let that dry. OKAY here comes the fun…. Are you excited? Peel of the lace and BAM it’s so stinkin cute.

I painted my letter charcoal gray once that was dry I used our wood glue and centered it. Let that dry. Have you noticed there is lots of drying time? That’s what took the longest. WELL, guess what you are DONE!

Look how cute it is sitting on my entry table. It was so simple too. Everyone will think you are a wizard with how crafty you are.

I just have to tell you how much fun I had doing this one. There are so many things you can do. Man oh man my brain was busy coming up with tons of different uses for the “Lace Stencil”. Like I said before get going, get creative and enjoy!

Big HUGS!
