What Our Crew Would Do- Natalie

Hey guys! Natalie here! I’m back to share another newlywed home décor idea. Awhile back I posted my “Forever and Always” idea that you can see here. Enjoy!

Love Frame:

Wood Connection Supplies:
11X14 "Cassie" frame- $24.95
Love letter set- $4.80
White paint- $1.29
Sponge brush- $.29
Scrapbook paper (4 total)- $.75 (each)
Sandpaper- $1.00
Pencil
Scissors

First turn the scrapbook paper upside down and tape them together. Put the frame upside down onto the scrapbook paper and trace the outside of the frame.

Next, cut out the pieces of the frame that you just traced.

Now paint the love letter set and the sides and inside of the frame (I applied three coats of paint). After the paint has dried, use wood glue to glue the scrapbook paper onto the frame. Make sure to apply the wood glue with a sponge brush to ensure an even coat.

Don't freak out if the paper hangs off the edges a little. All you need to do is sand it off with sandpaper. Once that is finished, I always like to give all my crafts a finishing touch by edging/distressing the edges. Just use the sponge brush and brush the edges of the frame with the white paint applying it lightly to the paper.

Then my handy, handsome and helpful husband helped me hang it up on our wall.
And here is the final product... Pretty stinkin' cute! (If only I had light grey walls!)

Thanks for tuning in!

  1. It looks great! I love that you put the word love in the frame, rather than just a picture. :)
